Reskillience is a podcast about the hard, soft and surprising skills that’ll help us stay afloat if our modern systems don’t.

Sparked by a Dave Pollard article that outlined 20 essential skills for adapting to civilisational collapse, I got curious about how to cultivate them (in the face of much distraction, self doubt and existential terror)...

...and whether whimsical/impractical types (like me) can find our niche in the apocalypse.

~ Reskillience is a top-notch, refreshing and thought provoking podcast. I so look forward to the next one, and the next one and the next one and when it pops up, it’s a great day!

〰️ Absolute banger of a poddy, first choice listen! I LOVE Reskillience! The most beautiful ground braking ideas presented in the most hands on, down to earth way. Listening does truly make you feel like - we got this!

~ I love it. I have immensely enjoyed the evolution of this podcast and Catie is brilliantly able to facilitate guests to be themselves and gently guided by Catie's conversational but focussed style. Catie's questions are so well timed and nuanced. We all need this Catie! m it

~ I love Caties work with the reskillience podcast. Her questions are thoughtful and responsive to her guests conversational flow. She gives her guests a chance to explore their thought process, ponder and to meander into interesting side-paths meaning they are given space to go share more deeply then they otherwise might. These kinds of beautiful re-wilding, frugal loving, back to nature, grass roots, community connectivness conversations are so important given the fragile and challenging world we all find ourselves currently navigating.

~ Catie has a way with words that is incisive, witty, warm and playful. After I listen to or read news that is often heartbreaking, I often listen to this podcast to let Catie and her guests remind me of the goodness and possibility that also exist in the world.m it

~ Hanging out for Mondays to see what’s going to drop next. Loving the podcast Catie- getting my warm, fuzzy, permie juices flowing.

~ Reskillience is a rare moment in podcasting. The interviewer dances her guests between civilisational tools (seemingly endless global-digital critical thinking) and civilisational collapse (how do we do ‘critical doing-saying’ in an internet dark future?)

~ Loved this first conversation! A different perspective on ‘community’ - very inspiring and relevant. I listened right to the end (wasn’t hard) and was rewarded with a lovely positive sermon on how to sustain community in these times.

🪶 Released 6am every Monday unless the goats break free or I’m totally fried.

🪶 Frank Apocalypse Questions [FAQs] answered by folks like David Holmgren, Annie Raser-Rowland, Suzy Muir, Artist As Family, Koren Helbig, Tristan Gooley and Su Dennett.

🪶 Over 50k downloads, in the top 2.5% of podcasts globally and hustlin’ for #1 in the Earth Science charts (Nate Hagens and John Kempf do not know they are being hustled).

🪶 Most popular episodes: Cycles of Renewal with David Holmgren, Apocalypse Now-ish with Dave Pollard, Retire By 35 with Dylan Graves (has anyone else had so many dudes named Dave or D-something in their top downloads?), Voluntary Extinction with Annie Raser-Rowland and Work/Rest Balance with Koren Helbig.

🪶 My favourite episodes: YOU CAN’T ASK ME THAT (but I cried the most during Maya Ward’s interview, guffawed the loudest in Andrew Turbill’s interview, and rejigged the largest number of synapses in Yin Paradies’ interview).

🪶 Reskillience is obstinately independent and supported entirely by listeners! We hang out on Patreon.
